Yes; because he is a young male and i'm sure most can relate back to being at that age. Also understanding that he is under a lot of new found pressure can help fans relate to what bad choices Phelps has/may undergo.
2. Would you as a business owner still pay Phelps money to Market your products?
Honestly, i would probably cut back on how much money and publicity is spent on him while things die down...

I don't really have any thoughts about this situation. Statistics show that 42.4% of males students have used marijuana. and those numbers are just from high school students. Phelps is 23 and is becoming a nationwide icon. sometimes when one is under a lot of stress they may make bad decisions trying to escape reality.
